Okayama Castle was a Japanese castle located in Okayama, Mino District, Bizen Province (present-day Kita Ward, Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture). A nationally designated historic site. Other names are Ujou and Kinujou.
During the Sengoku period, the Ukita clan, which arose from eastern Bizen and expanded its influence to Mimasaka and eastern Bicchu, made it their base, giving rise to the foundations of modern castles, which were later maintained and expanded by the Kobayakawa and Ikeda clans.
